this is lovely! 😊💙
Thank you so much!
Ohhh... nice! Especially the llama
Thank you! 😊
Nice haul! Thank you for sharing! This Sticki pack look so awesome! 😍 I’m looking forward to watch you filling these palettes with paint ☺️
Thank you! I was very excited to get those little palettes.
Such lovely art and it's always a joy to see artist's travel supplies I very much enjoyed watching. I loved how you ended the video with the picture of the rainbow in all it's majesty. They always remind me of God's promise and love a sign of hope and to look toward the future even in the midst of a storm. 😊 Love the way the rainbow is backlit and the colors it's truly beautiful and makes me want to grab my paints right this second. As always thanks for sharing your beautiful art and perspective!
Thank you, and I’m glad you enjoyed that! And yes, I love that after all that torrential rain, we got such a beautiful double rainbow in our last night. Can’t get a rainbow without some rain 😌
this is so good, watched and enjoyed till the end 😊😊
Thank you so much! 😊
No offence, but people who got free products to review, claiming their opinion is their own and that they are allowed to say whatever they want, is just a lie. Especially with chinese companies. They always send you a list of things you must say about the product in order to review and keep it. If you don't do that, they will probs stop sending you free stuff. Thats how it works in every industry. Be it art, gaming, tech, etc. So I highly doubt you or any other reviewer out there, are giving us your honest opinions about the products you receive. Especially smaller channels who profit the most from free stuff, since they often can't afford buying all the supplies they are reviewing.
No offense, but you got all your “facts” wrong. They absolutely did not give me a list of things to say. They simply asked if I wanted to pick some things out and if I’d be willing to do a video or an IG post in return. That’s was it. And they don’t send me tons of free stuff. They sent me probably less than $50 worth of free stuff twice. That doesn’t do much for me. I only did this because it seemed fun to get some things that I was curious to try and I make videos anyway. They only sent me a few items with no plans to “keep” sending me stuff. I don’t need or want them to do that. I had zero incentive to say positive things about them because I wasn’t getting anything in return for doing so. I’m not a small channel that “reviews” stuff. I’m not at all a review channel. I make videos for fun. Be it sharing my art or sometimes sharing art supplies I either buy or get. So I don’t need them or any art company to send me anything. I can easily afford to buy whatever art supplies I want actually so I have no need to lie in order to get a few bucks worth of free stuff. Also you saw all my reactions as I was opening the package and swatching. So how could I be lying? My video on their acrylics wasn’t quite as favorable. And I asked for acrylics and gauche because I was sure I’d somewhat like them so I could do a video where I was happy with what I got. I didn’t ask for their watercolors. So no offense but you don’t really know what you’re talking about.
This is so good, what a stunning haul ☺☺
Thank you!! So sweet of you to always take the time to comment 💜
Just bought the watercolor sticks to use them the same way 😊. For diluting acrylics, however I read somewhere not to use the airbrush medium, but the fluid medium. But I also had already bought it. 🤷♀️
Ugh it’s too late for me too, since I already bought it 😅 I’ll have to figure out a good use for it anyway. And yes, looking forward to playing around with the watercolor stick! Will probably end up buying more down the road.
I've found that many people buy the DS sticks to cut and put in pans. They act exactly the same as pan paints and are cheaper. I "stick" 😂 with the Neocolor 2s for mark making. But the DS are versatile! Expensive as crayons- but used multi ways- are great!
you created a store! 🥰🥳💙
I used to want to buy stickers with your art. this is so exciting! lol I'm going to check it out 🎉🎉🎉
@@texan76 thank you! I just opened it a few days ago and ordered a handful to try them out and see about the quality, so I’ll definitely update soon with how they are. If they’re good quality, I’m happy to take requests! I can upload a sketchbook page or a painting and make a sticker
@@ElaTell Yay!!! ty!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Thanks for this, I’m new to faces and this was extremely helpful.
Oh good, I’m happy to hear that!! Have fun with it!
Your art has such a peaceful and dreamy vibe; it reminds me of the picture books I used to love when I was younger.
Thank you so much! That really means a lot since I e been thinking lately and realizing that’s the vibe I want to communicate in my work, and it’s very encouraging to hear that I’m already at least partially doing that
Love the gorgeous abstract we see Very briefly at 28:31. Probably my favorite from that book, if not all of them.... 🙌🏽🙌🏽🩷
Thank you so much! I have basically less than zero confidence in my abstracts so that is super encouraging ❤️
Great irises in their eyes; really beautiful color and blending!
Thank you so much! I’m considering doing the whole book with oil pastels just to see how far a box of them goes ☺️
I really like the idea of doing vertical layouts. The idea of using a sketch book in this orientation would (probably) not have occurred to me.
Thank you! It’s definitely a fun way to do a spread. I like it when things are stretched out lol
Very useful video and thorough review… I have the Neocolors but use them so little as I mostly use watercolors…. Seeing your beautiful paintings inspired me to pick them up and start esperimenting more with them! 😊 thank you!
Thank you so much! I’m glad the video was informative and inspiring! And I think they go well with watercolors, even if you just use them as little accents
Beautiful painting. ❤ Do you fix it somehow to then close the sketchbook, or do you use glassine paper in between?
Thank you! I’ve been using glassine or tracing or parchment paper but I did just purchase some fixative to try
@@ElaTell I hope the fixative works well for you. I cant use them cause of health issues. That's why I'm always on the look out for ways to fix the oil pastels. 😉
@@veystone2580 yes, that’s unfortunately the main downside of them and why I won’t be using them for works I sell, it’s just too much hassle. I’ll use them in my sketchbooks. And yeah, I’ll definitely use the fixative outdoors only. I can imagine it’ll be very… potent lol
I love this!! I’d love a more detailed tutorial on how you shade hair
Thank you!! And I’ll definitely add that to my list of videos to make, thank you for the suggestion!
Amazing video one of the most in depth reviews I've seen. Love your work by the way.
Thank you so much! And I’m glad this video was informative. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Merci beaucoup 😊🌸🌸🌸
merci d'avoir regardé et commenté ! 🤗
Great video subject! I learned a lot. Thanks so much!
Oh good, I’m glad it was useful! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you for sharing your technique. How do you keep motivated to keep drawing? I practice but i just can't get my self to do it daily.😊
I am terrible with anything g I feel like I “should” do. So I don’t ever think of it as “practice” because that would immediately make me not feel like it. That’s why I mentioned in the video that I’m not big on drawing from reference because it feels like I’m actually practicing lol So I just draw what I feel like drawing or feels fun in that moment. Sometimes it’s these girl doddles or paintings, sometimes it’s loose watercolor florals where it’s quick and easy (I have tutorials for 2 different techniques for those as well). And I mostly paint when I’m watching TV in the evenings so I’m just sitting there anyway. And like I said, I’m used to doodling while doing other things, like sitting in class, so it feels pretty natural to do art while watching TV. Not sure if this helps? Just think of it as you’re only doing it for fun or relaxation or whatever, change how you look at drawing and the purpose it plays, and that might increase your motivation.
I love playing with watercolor but I have had not drawn in years, you make it look so easy, we’ll sweetie I will practice my faces to start because it looked easy the way you explained it. Thanks so much for taken the time to do this tutorial.😀
Oh good, I’m glad it was clear and easy! That was definitely my goal :) And have fun with it and Let me know how it goes! ☺️💜
Thank you! I love your style. You make it look so easy…I’m going to practice!
Thank you so much, and thank you for watching and commenting!
thank you so much for this!! i am going to study this all day 😊🎉💙
I’m glad you found it helpful! Have fun and lmk how it goes!
Beautiful Work!
Thank you 🤗
how fun, thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching 😊
And u just came upon this post with absolutely no intent. Hilaruous
I’m glad you did! Welcome to my channel ❤️
I'm just starting ad an artist. I wouldn't say artist. Lol. So I think my favorite medium is acrylic because I feel watercolor is a constant restraint on color and you, at times, just want the vividness shown with acrylics. I'm stoked about Ponca and the art world. I'm gonna begin to collect because I just can't imagine a marker colorful.
I’m a firm believer that you’re an artist as long as you do one thing - make art! So if you’re making art you’re definitely an artist. And yes, I totally agree about acrylics. They’re so easy to work with and behave themselves, unlike watercolors lol
So good! Keep up the good work ❤
Thank you! ☺️🤗
You are an incredibly skilled artist and I'm very glad I discovered your channel.
Thank you so much, you totally made my day! And I’m also very happy you discovered my channel 🤗
Magnifique ❤❤❤
Thank you so much ☺️❤️
What a nice video! I also have a lot empty sketchbooks here. But Im too slow to fill them fast ( and there are always new ones on top 😅) I love these color tubes! I have to buy one of these. What is the brand name? In my first quick research I could not find the exact same one… thank you ☺️ .. (edit: found it ☺️)
I am so slow with filling them too! Because I’m always working in multiple ones, and because I do canvas paintings too so then the sketchbooks don’t get used while I’m busy with either canvases or loose papers. And I’m glad you found them! They weren’t cheap unfortunately but I got them as a Christmas gift because they seemed like a fun tool to have.
Will you please do a video showing how you made your own acrylic paint pens?
I can do one but I can explain it here too because it’s super easy. I took an empty marker (you can purchase them) and then just poured golden high flow paint inside. That was literally it. I’m debating adding in some kind of flow agent to make them even more liquid but I haven’t decided yet.
I’m only a couple minutes in and am laughing… I recently bought a few of the same Art Creations sketchbooks from Amazon and exactly the same digital timer (same color and everything)! Edited to add (now that I’ve finished the video): 1- Recently I’ve been scouring royalty-free sites for images to use as inspiration for my sketchbooks. I have the color cubes and somehow didn’t even think about using those. 🤦♀️ Thanks for the suggestion! 2- I did timed sketches for the first time a few days ago (hence the aforementioned timer) and really enjoyed it. I did it for two minutes but concentrated on single objects (a key, traffic light, piece of candy, etc.) rather than scenes. And I didn’t consider choosing the colors beforehand to be cheating, so I don’t consider it cheating for you either! 😂
Omg that is too funny… great minds really do think alike 😉 and yeah, would have definitely been better to pick something smaller than a whole scene but the cards didn’t really have that and I wanted to have something on screen for everyone to be able to see. If I do more of these in a video in the future, I might pick images from a book that’d be larger and simpler as well. Thank you for the suggestions!
This was interesting! I have the black page dylusions journal and it’s amazing with gouache and Neo colors ❤. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
Oh that’s good to know! I have gouache and neocolor so I really should give it a run and see how I like it ❤️
i think you need ateast 3 minutes. also the neocolor seems better for this, even the markers. many pencils didnt even show. and you where slower with them. I saw One woman s video who did the same, but with pictures from pinterest and 3 or 4 and in the end she put water on them and they got SO MUCH BETTER :) I think that made her feel better about it too, which makes it more fun to do again. I have actually been contemplating buying the neocolor since i saw her video
Yeah, those are good ideas! I’ll definitely make some changes next time I try the timed drawing exercises. You live and you learn lol
This is so good, what a stunning haul, I love it ☺☺
Aww thank you so much!
You really put these sticks to work. Excellent. I had never thought of using them as you do. I'm going to try to do more with them. I loved your sketch book work with them.
Thank you! And I’m happy you got some ideas. I love how they can do so much! Thanks for watching and commenting 🤗
Can't wait 😍
🤗
Hullo, Lovely works and a good use of the A.Gallo paints! I ordered 2 more pans when I ordered from them and they were super helpful when I wanted to replace the greens in the set I got with another Yellow and Red. I added another Blue and Buff Titanium to get to that 14 pan set which fit in the palette perfectly! I like these paints, but I do not use them everyday. I use DaVinci paints for my everyday palette!
I love them but they’re so expensive! Glad to hear they care about the customer and have great customer service. I might add 6 more to my palette when Jackson’s has another watercolor sale some day, we’ll see. I’d want to but I can get so much more of other brands for the same amount … :(
@@ElaTell Yes! I have never gotten used to handmade paint or papers, just so expensive! I love DaVnci Paints of California for just that reason. They make professional quality paints and they are reasonably priced too! I have even compared them with DanSmith and while they don’t have over 200 colors they have a wonderful selection and I have never found a color that I can not mix using DaVinci watercolors! I have used a lot of brands over the years and I am truly happy to have found them at last!
@@mjpete27 DaVinchi has been on my wish list for some time actually! I’ve been waiting for them to have another sale lol
I just looked at your back catalog of videos and you’ve really evolved. You’ve gone from scrapbooks to some dark and edgy fine-art.
Thank you! I did art in high school and then life was really busy and then I got sucked into scrapbooking which was a good creative outlet and also it was made of much quicker and smaller projects, so it was easier to fit into my life. And then companies sent me so much free stuff that it was really fun. And then finally I got tired of it, which opened the space for me to get back into art. I do like seeing how my work has improved over the years.
Hullo Ela, I have used these Neocolor II’s for over 30 years and I am very happy with their lightfastness! I used the 10 then the 15 color sets for close to 15 years and I would go buy special colors for a given project. About 5 years ago I got the 30 stick selection box and purchased the plastic palette with the set! It has a smooth side and a rough side. I used regular masking tape for scribbling the color down for mixing or water dilution as I avoided buying a separate palette just for them. The plastic palette is very nice to have but I did use the tape for years and it worked! I used the sticks for a lot of under painting and mixed media pieces they are simply amazing and so easy to use. I see a painting that hangs outside of my studio everyday and it has not faded yet, it is 37 years old. It is hanging in the hallway and not under UV glass, but I did spray the finished artwork with Krylon UV protective spray. I encourage you to use care when working with the iffy colors that are not as permanent as others. I am excited to see more videos of yours! See you next video, yep I am a new subscriber!
Wow, that’s a lot of great tips! I didn’t even know ow they’ve been around for so long! I love the masking tape idea. Hopefully others see your comment and get some good ideas from it so thank you for sharing. And thank you for watching and subscribing! So happy to have you join me on my channel ☺️❤️
This was interesting to watch! I never tried Meeden paints before. I know their awesome paletts … This gouache seems rly nice. Thanks for sharing!
I’m glad it was useful! The gouache seems like a really good deal. And Lindsey the frugal crafter mentioned on her channel that cheaper gouache seems to work well, whereas cheap watercolor isn’t always very good, and that definitely seems to be the case here.
Wow ...... Yours Sketchbooks are so Fun and Cool 💖💖 i love your Art and i'm so happy to know that you love too use Neocolor2 😄 For my part, since I discovered them thanks to the advice of my Art and Color Dealer , I love using them almost daily and combining them with classic watercolors in my sketchbooks and my other paintings. The only thing I find unfortunate is that you can't easily find all the available colors and I regret that they removed many of them from the color range... it's a real shame and very frustrating! (I think that at Caran d'Ache, they consider this product more for Children than for Adults which is, in my opinion, a serious error given its potential) Friendly yours,
Thank you so much! ☺️ I’m so glad you liked them and so happy to have you join me on my video. I do love them! I can’t believe they’d consider it a kids supply since they’re so great and a lot of them are lightfast so they can definitely be a professional supply. I wish they’d keep all the colors and add to the range. Would be great to have like 150 colors to choose from, like some colored pencil ranges. Anyways, thank you for watching and commenting 🥰
Thanks ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
